What size is a small double mattress?

A small double mattress measures 120cm wide and 190cm long. In imperial measurements, that's 4 feet wide, 6 feet and 3 inches long (4' x 6'3"). Small double mattresses are the same length as double mattresses, but approximately 15cm (6 inches) narrower.

Can a small double mattress fit on a double bed?

Technically, a small double mattress can fit on a double bed - but we don't recommend this! This will create gaps in-between your mattress and bed, which could be a safety hazard. Placing your mattress on an unsuitable bed may also invalidate your warranty. The best option is to choose a small double bed with mattress as one complete bed and mattress set, to be sure of a good fit.
